Areas of focus

What brings people to therapy

You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. I work with adults facing a wide range of concerns, offering a tailored approach that honors your unique story.

Depression & Anxiety

When the weight of worry or sadness becomes to heavy to carry alone, therapy can provide tools and space to find solid ground again.

Relationship challenges

Whether in a relationship or navigating one’s own patterns, therapy can help clients understand and improve how they connect with others.

Trouble sleeping

Poor sleep affects many areas of life. I use evidence-based approaches to address the psychological roots of insomnia and sleep difficulties.

Cross-cultural living

Living between two worlds takes a toll. I specialize in supporting expats, missionaries, and cross-cultural workers navigating identity, burnout, and transitions.

“I put a high value on individual stories and tailoring my approach to client needs.”

With over fifteen years of experience, I specialize in helping adults and couples navigate through life’s challenging seasons. My practice is grounded in collaborative, evidenced based care — I believe change begins in truly understanding each person’s story.

I work with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, relationship problems, trouble sleeping, and life transitions. I also specialize in supporting cross-cultural workers, couples, and offer services in person and securely through Zoom.

A Unique Specialty

Support for cross-cultural living

Whether you’re an expat, missionary, NGO worker, or diplomat, I understand the particular pressures of life lived between cultures. I’ve been there, and I bring that lived experience into my clinical work.

I offer both in-person and teletherapy sessions. My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and evidence-based.

Common Questions

In some cases, I may be able to bill your insurance for therapy.  Insurance can be complicated and I am happy to help you sort out what benefits are covered or might be reimbursed.

Do you take insurance?

The variety of therapeutic modalities can be confusing (CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT).  While certain modalities may be better suited for specific issues, research has consistently shown that the strength of the relationship between the client and the therapist is the biggest predictor of success, apart from the modality used.

What kind of therapy do I need?

The timeline varies between clients.  Some client attend for six to twelve sessions to navigate a specific life transition, manage a crisis, or learn specific coping skills.  Others may remain in therapy for longer periods of time to address relationship conflict, to focus on areas of personal growth, or manage a chronic mental health condition.

How long do I need to be in therapy?
